As
we know, Indonesia is a law country which sounds in the 1945’s constitution. So
that Indonesia prioritizes the law in every citizen’s activities. It means that
all the country life uses a law guide. When somebody doesn’t obey rules of law,
he will get a punishment or sanction equal with his action. The question is “Is
the punishment fair?”. I will mention three problems that
maybe show the law is not fair.
The
first problem is discrimination. It happens in a law world, where there
is a discrimination between poor and rich people. For example, the case of a
child who stole sandal. Because of his action, he must get a heavy punishment.
In other cases, there are people who can “breathe freely”, although they have
violated the law. We can see the corruption cases that happen in the country.
The corruptors, such as Gayus Tambunan, Angelina Sondakh, and Anas Urbaningrum,
don’t be condemned soon but they can roam freely.
The
second problem is injustice. The citizens have their rights to get
justice included in the law. Where there is a balance of the punishment and
sanction that given with the crime that has been done. In fact, in the law
world the justice hasn’t been built well. As we know, there are often heard
“the scream of little people” to get the justice. Actually if the law enforcers
are aware of the importance of the fair law, this matter will not happen.
The
last problem is bribery. Frequently,
bribery occurs in the law world. Some people especially rich people usually use
this secret agent to defeat the law. It usually happens because some of the
law enforcers more prioritize their own needs. When they are crazy for money,
they will forget their real duty that is to construct a fair law.
It
is a fact that the Indonesia’s law is in a poor condition. We can see many
problems of law, such as discrimination, injustice, and bribery. Actually, the
cases can be solved if all parts of law work well. I think, the base that must
be built first is to create a good character in every human being included the
law enforcers. So, they will be aware and more responsible of their duties.
